    Come to the DPRK for the President Kim Il Sung Memorial Day (July 8). There will be memorial ceremonies all around the country, Kumsusan Palace of Sun will reopen after annual maintenance.

A walking path covers about 12 km through the heart of Korean capital and offers amazing photo opportunities of all major Pyongyang landmarks. Experience beautifully decorated Pyongyang Metro.
    You will have a chance to visit Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum where you learn who started the Korean War (1950/53), and explore International Friendship Exhibition in Mt.Myohyang - one of the celebrated mountains of Korea. You will also see Panmunjom/DMZ – the border with South Korea
    On this tour you will have an optional opportunity to take the PYONGYANG AIR CITY TOUR - a 40 minute trip in the skies aboard an Air Koryo Mi-17 helicopter. You will have an unrivalled bird's-eye view of Pyongyang from the sky and a lot of great photo opportunities.     Jul 6 (Thu): Pyongyang

    Arrival in Pyongyang

    • Depart from Beijing by Air Koryo flight JS 252Y Beijing-Pyongyang at 14.05 from TERMINAL 2, Beijing Capital Airport . Arrive in Pyongyang at 16.40 local time
    • Transfer to Pyongyang
    • Take ride in Pyongyang Metro - one of the deepest subways in the world, it was designed to serve as a bomb shelter in case of war. The stations' interiors are stunning with superb lighting and mosaics. This is a great chance to interact with local people and explore several subway stations
    • Check-in at the Pyongyang Koryo Hotel **** - one of the best Pyongyang hotels (first class and deluxe suits are also available at extra charge), it is located in Pyongyang downtown
    • Dinner at the hotel

    Jul 7 (Fri): Pyongyang Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) Kaesong Sariwon Pyongyang

    • Breakfast in the hotel
    • Drive to Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) - a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea, it is one of the most militarized area on our planet
    • Visit Panmunjom - a village where in 1953 Armistice Talks were held between the DPR Korea and the United Nation Command. Visit the blue tent-like building located exactly on the borderline between Koreas. You can walk around the conference room and hop from South to North Korea while you are in this building. This is one of the few places where you can take pictures of the DPRK military
    • Transfer to Kaesong - capital of Korea up to the 15th century. Kaesong is the only city in Korea which has preserved its original historical make up as it hasn't been destroyed during the Korean war. It is a home for 12 historic sites from the UNESCO World Heritage List. Kaesong is considered to be home of Koryo insam (ginseng) and so be prepared to buy some of the best insam in the Far East
    • Walk in Janamsan Park - located on a hill overlooking the city it is a great place to enjoy the beautiful panorama of the old Kaesong
    • Kaesong Middle School - great chance to meet local children and say hello to pupils
    • Enjoy lunch at Tongil restaurant - "Tongil" means "Reunification" in Korean, it is one of the most famous restaurants in Kaesong where you can experience royal meal with multiple side-dishes. For anyone wanting to supplement their lunch, there will be an opportunity to sample Korea’s famous ginseng chicken soup (at extra charge)
    • Drive to Sariwon - the southern gateway to Pyongyang. With population well above 300,000 Sariwon is one the most densely populated cities of the DPRK and it is famous for its Maccoli - Korean traditional rice wine
    • Experience Sariwon Folk Customs Street - great place to see Korean traditions and customs
    • Explore Mt.Jongbang - 481m high mountain near Sariwon famous for its many spots to enjoy beautiful landscapes and historical fort dated back to Koryo Dynasty
    • Stop by Songbul Temple - one of the famous temples in Korea. It was first built in 898 and later rebuilt in Koryo dynasty
    • Drive back to Pyongyang. Enroute there will be a short photo-break at Monument to the Three Charters for National Reunification - the monument representing desire of Korean people for reunification. It is shaped in form of two Korean women holding Korean peninsula over the Thongil highway from Pyongyang to DMZ
    • Enjoy farewell dinner in famous BBQ Duck Restaurant

    • Arch of Triumph - built in 1982 to commemorate President Kim Il Sung’s role in resisting Japanese rule, it is the second tallest triumphal arch in the world. Each of its 25,500 blocks of finely-dressed white granite represents a day of his life up to that point
    • Pyongyang Sport Village
    • Kwangbok Supermarket - located at one of the biggest city's street it is a popular mall where visitors can exchange money into local Won in order to shop
    • Visit Mangyongdae Native House - the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. On July 8, 1994 President passed away and on this day many Koreans come to this place to pay tribute to Kim Il Sung
    • Picnic at Ryongak Hill - called "Dragon Hill" (Ryongak in Korean) it is a rocky peak in Pyongyang's suburbs. At 292 m Tae peak is the highest giving splendid views on the city. It is a popular hiking and BBQ destination for the capital inhabitants
    • NEW! Visit The Rungna People's Pleasure Ground - opened in 2012 it is an amusement park. It has a dolphinarium, swimming pool, and a mini golf course. Entrance fee is about 5 Euro payable at spot
    • Walk along Mirae (Future) Street - it is opened in 2015 street featuring futuristic looking buildings. Korean government allocated residential buildings at this street to teachers of local universities
    • Visit famous Kaeson Youth Funfair - one of the most popular amusement parks and nightspots in Pyongyang, it was recently renovated. This is a great place to observe local people and take pictures with them
    • Dinner
    • Continue evening in Pyongyang microbrewery and bar - try several types of locally brewed beer and wide variety of international cuisine (at your own expense)

    WALKING PYONGYANG DOWNTOWN TOUR

    • Wake up early and enjoy breakfast in the hotel

    • Stroll down to Taedong river embankment and see Kimilsungnia - Kimjongilia Exhibition house - the place dedicated to two flowers named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il
    • Walk along Munsu Kangan street to Ryugyong Health Complex - opened in 2012 it is a huge recreational complex in central Pyongyang. It includes health complex, modern facilities for bathing, beauty and massage saloons, gym, Ice Rink, and even Skate Park
    • Enjoy lunch
    • Walk to Juche Tower - at 150m it is the highest stone monument in the world. Take elevator to the top of the tower to enjoy the magnificent view of Pyongyang (optional, 5 Euro p/p)
    • Return to Okryu bridge and pass it on foot. On the other side of the bridge you will see newly built Mansudae residential district, which locals call “new Dubai” for its futuristic design
    • Head to Taedong Park - a great place a few minutes away from Kim Il Sung Square to enjoy a peaceful park and a walk along the Taedong river. Inspect Pyongyang Bell - national treasure, it was rung to announce invasions, natural disasters, New Year's Day and other major events. The current bell was cast in 1726 during the Ri dynasty to replace an earlier one that was destroyed by fire in 1714. Walk along the Taedong river to Taedong Gate - built in the mid-6th century, it is the east gate of the inner castle of the Walled City of Pyongyang (Pyongyang Castle, Koguryo dynasty) situated on the bank of River Taedong. Stop by Ryonggwang Pavillion - one of the 8 scenic wonders of western part of Korea
    • Visit Pyongyang Foreign Language Book Shop - the popular shop where you can buy propaganda posters, books and other souvenirs
    • Walk to Kim Il Sung Square - Pyongyang’s central square where Korea’s massive military parades normally take place. Opened in August Juche 43 (1954) it is the 30th largest square in the world
    • Visit Grand People’s Study House - located at the Kim Il Sung Square it is one of the most famous buildings in Pyongyang. It was built in a traditional Korean style over a period of 21 months and opened in April of 1982 to honor Kim Il Sung’s 70th birthday
    • Cross over Mansudae Fountain Park - composed of many beautifully designed in shape of dancing women fountains, this park is a place to enjoy jets of water reaching up to 80 meters
    • Pass by Mansudae Art Theatre
    • Climb Mansu Hill and visit Mansudae Grand Monument - the huge bronze statues of the leaders standing in the center of the composition with two monuments titled "Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Struggle" and "Socialist Construction" on both sides. It was renovated in April 2012 following the passing away of the leader Kim Jong Il and a new statue of Kim Jong Il was added next to Kim Il Sung's
    • Continue your journey to Pothong Gate - built in 6th century, it is the western gate of the inner castle of the Walled City of Pyongyang (Pyongyang Castle, Koguryo dynasty). Enroute you will pass Grand People’s Assembly Hall - opened in 1984 it is a place where National Parliament makes all important decisions
    • Pass by People’s Palace of Culture - opened on Chollima Street in 1974
    • Walk to Indoor Stadium - completed in 1973 and renovated in 2013 it is a striking modernist style stadium
    • Pass by Pyongyang Ice Rink - specialized stadium completed in 1981. The rink resembles a skater’s cap
    • Enjoy shopping in Rakwon Department Store - located near indoor Stadium it is one of the main department stores in Pyongyang. Great chance to experience shopping!
    • Walk to Pyongyang Railway Station
    • Walk to the hotel

    Jul 10 (Mon): Pyongyang Mt.Myohyang Pyongyang

    • Breakfast
    • Drive to Mt.Myohyang - the Mountain of Mysterious Fragrance, one of the five celebrated mountains of Korea. It is a sacred site as, according to legend, it was the home of King Tangun, forefather of the Korean people. In 2009 UNESCO designated Mount Myohyang a world biosphere reserve
    • Visit grandiose International Friendship Exhibition - the world's biggest treasure-house. On exhibit are gifts received by DPRK's leaders over the years. One building stores the presents given to President Kim Il Sung, while a smaller one holds those given to Leader Kim Jong Il
    • After impressive exhibition visit Pohyon temple - one of the five famous Buddhist temples of Korea, it was built nearly 1,000 years ago
    • Lunch
    • Drive back to Pyongyang
    • Visit one of the finest museums of the DPRK Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum - unveiled in 2013 by the leader Kim Jong Un after massive renovation this museum explains the origins of the Korean War (1950-53) between South and North. Here you will see the only US ship captured by a foreign country - the spy ship USS Pueblo, as well as American weapons and shot down planes. The museum features amazing displays and excellent dioramas

    • After breakfast in the hotel transfer to the airport and depart by Air Koryo flight JS 151 Pyongyang-Beijing at 8.30 in the morning from Pyongyang Airport . Arrive in Beijing at 09.55 in the morning (local time)
